Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans and select appropriate modalities to meet established patient rehabilitation goals in compliance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and hospital licensing and accreditation standards
• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans based on age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs
• Provide thorough, timely, and professional patient care documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, SOAP notes, and discharge summaries
• Delegate patient treatment procedures and modalities to support staff appropriately and consistently
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and coordination to maximize patient outcomes and support safe, comprehensive discharge planning
• Provide mentorship and clinical instruction to new employees and student interns as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy
• Active California Physical Therapist License
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Successful completion of PT curriculum and clinical internship
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; college-level writing proficiency
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to administer all department modalities, programs, and protocols appropriate to the age of patients served

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Prior physical therapy or broader healthcare experience
• Experience with electronic health documentation systems and proactive caseload management
