Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of records and submit reports as required for progress reporting, annual review, initial or reevaluation of TEAM meetings. Liaison between home and school to improve learning while promoting positive life plans for eligible students. Provide individual, group, classroom and crisis interventions. Interfaces with agencies, hospitals, clinics and mental health agencies regarding referring eligible students, when needed. Assist administration in implementing District Improvement Plans, DCAP, advisories from the Department of Education and policies and rules governing student life and conduct. Teach classes in healthy relationships, stress management, substance, drug and alcohol abuse and family matters. Adhere to all federal, state, local laws and policies as they pertain to adjustment counseling, IDEA and Civil Rights. Attends conferences and workshops and participates in professional growth activities as directed by the Building Principal and/or Director of Student Support Services. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required by the Building Principal and/or Director of Student Services.
