Job Summary
The Removable Technician is responsible for fabricating and finishing removable dental prosthetics, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet clinical specifications and FDA protocols. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Read & Evaluate: Review doctor prescriptions, work authorizations, and physical/digital impressions to map out accurate treatment plans and design parameters.
· Model Work: Pour, trim, and evaluate stone models, articulate cases accurately, and block out models for proper contouring, invest wax-ups, duplicate models, devest injected cases.
· Fabrication: Construct custom trays, esthetic control bases, and bite rims, and expertly set denture teeth for both full edentulous and complex partial cases. Mix and pour acrylic partials, injecting and polishing flexible partials.
· Finish & Polish: Process, pack, finish, and polish, palaseal acrylic dentures using small machinery, lathes, and high-speed hand-pieces.
· Repairs & Relines: Perform efficient, high-strength repairs, re-bases, and relines on existing removable appliances.
· Quality Control: Inspect final prosthetic devices for proper fit, occlusion, and lifelike aesthetics before clinical dispatch.
· Maintenance & Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, housekeeping, adhere to strict infection control and lab safety guidelines, and properly document production steps in company systems.
