Position Summary Deloitte Technology’s Product Engineering team is seeking a Product Designer and Researcher to shape digital products used by Deloitte professionals, businesses, and clients. In this senior, hands-on role, you will combine user research, interaction design, prototyping, and iterative testing to turn complex, high-stakes workflows into clear and usable product experiences. You will partner with product, engineering, and design colleagues to frame problems, evaluate solutions, and translate research into decisions that shape roadmaps. You will contribute from discovery through delivery while raising the quality and consistency of experience practices across teams. Work you’ll do As a Product Designer and Researcher on the US Deloitte Technology Product Engineering team, you will: Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, usability tests, surveys, and prototype evaluations, to uncover user needs and validate product decisionsTurn research findings into personas, journey maps, opportunity areas, and clear recommendations that influence product roadmaps and design prioritiesDesign interactions, wireframes, and prototypes that communicate complex workflows and let users and stakeholders test ideas earlyPartner with product managers, engineers, program managers, and designers to define problems, prioritize user needs, and iterate on solutions throughout the product lifecycleMeasure the effect of design decisions using usability findings and behavioral data, and use those results to refine the experienceFacilitate design-thinking workshops and research readouts that align stakeholders and drive decisionsUphold design-quality and accessibility standards, and contribute to shared design-system and research practicesMentor designers and researchers and lead design or research workstreams A successful candidate would possess these skills Strong command of both research and design craft, with the judgment to know which one a problem needsAbility to turn ambiguous problems into clear research questions and design directionsClear written and verbal communication, including presenting findings and recommendations to product and engineering leadersAbility to influence product decisions through evidence and storytellingAbility to lead projects or workstreams and prioritize multiple efforts in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to work independently while collaborating across product, engineering, and design teamsAbility to build and sustain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to mentor and provide clear guidance to other designers and researchersBonus: experience with AI-powered productsExperience designing or researching AI-driven products is a plus. We’re especially interested in candidates who have shaped how people interact with, trust, and oversee these systems. The team US Deloitte Technology Product Engineering develops digital products and technology solutions that support Deloitte’s businesses, service lines, and internal operations. The team brings together product, engineering, program, design, and research capabilities to deliver scalable, user-centered experiences from discovery through deployment. We use iterative product-delivery practices to connect customer needs, business outcomes, and technology execution. Qualifications Required: 10+ years of experience designing, researching, or improving digital product experiences using user experience (UX) design or user research methods2+ years of experience leading design or research workstreams or managing design or research practitionersPortfolio or work samples demonstrating UX design and user research deliverables for digital productsExperience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, or prototype testingExperience creating wireframes, interaction designs, prototypes, journey maps, or design-system components using tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Axure, or InVisionAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in design, psychology, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, or information scienceExperience using behavioral analytics, heuristic evaluation, or controlled comparison testing to assess digital product experiencesExperience contributing to a design system, design operations (DesignOps), or research operations practiceExperience working on cross-functional product teams using Agile delivery methods The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $232,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
