Duties include pulling and redacting healthcare records and facilitating record reviews and releases. This is a high-volume role, with requests often amounting to between 40-50 each month. The MPAA is also responsible for scanning records into the medical chart, requiring approximately 400 scans per week. In addition, this position provides support for approximately 12 clinicians and performs several other administrative tasks. Coverage during the vacancy has been attempted by a combination of off-site MPAA's and onsite clinicians. The volume of work under the existing coverage model has resulted in some reduction of the ability to provide patient care.
