Development & Fundraising Manager

Complete Playground | Downtown Manhattan, NYC
$80,000–$90,000 + Performance Bonus

Complete Playground, an inclusive nonprofit serving children and families, is seeking an experienced fundraiser to help grow individual, corporate, foundation, and major-gift support as we enter an important expansion and capital campaign.

This is a hands-on fundraising position. We are specifically looking for someone with demonstrated experience cultivating donors, making asks, securing gifts, developing corporate/foundation relationships, and managing a fundraising pipeline.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and major donors
  • Develop corporate sponsorships and foundation relationships
  • Build and actively manage a donor/prospect pipeline
  • Support capital campaign and major-gift strategy
  • Prepare donor proposals, sponsorship requests, and fundraising communications
  • Research and pursue appropriate grants and foundation opportunities
  • Represent Complete Playground at donor meetings, fundraising events, galas, and community events as needed
  • Work closely with the Founder, Board, and fundraising partners to turn introductions and relationships into meaningful support
We are looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of direct fundraising/development experience
  • A demonstrated record of personally helping secure donations, sponsorships, grants, or major gifts
  • Strong donor cultivation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and follow-up
  • Comfort making direct fundraising asks and meeting prospective donors
  • NYC nonprofit, corporate, foundation, or philanthropic relationships are a strong plus
This is primarily an in-office position in Downtown Manhattan, with occasional remote work possible. Some evening attendance at fundraising events, galas, and donor functions will be required.

Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus tied to fundraising results.
